We know that higher education changes lives and is worth every minute, but we also know that getting there on the first day of classes isn’t always easy. Students who did well in school, completed all of the applications, and took the entrance exams might experience summer melt or find that an unexpected bill is due that can’t be paid, so they never make it on campus. One of the implicit goals of Reach Higher and Better Make Room is to make the act of getting to and through college easier.
