At the Future Reimagined Initiative, we believe the pathway to college should be limitless. We are committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has the confidence, resources, and support to reach for their dreams. Together, we can break down the barriers that stand in their way.
Students from low-income backgrounds often lack support at home for college applications. With school counselors overwhelmed by large caseloads, students are left to navigate the application process on their own.
Support
According to a Cengage study, 68% of students struggle with education costs. At the same time, millions of students are unaware of financial aid opportunities available to them, and many fail to submit the FAFSA.
Financial
Many students lack access to academic enrichment opportunities, such as competitions, research, sports, and mental health care. These gaps can hinder their ability to pursue higher education.

Reimagining the College Pathway

Financial Aid Support
Financial Aid Guidance:
We empower students with the knowledge to navigate the financial aid process, from submitting FAFSA applications to applying for scholarships and waivers.
Supplemental Financial Support:
We assist students with additional education costs, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of their success.

Activities and Enrichment
Impact Projects: Students can develop projects based on their passions, designed to positively impact their community.
Volunteering: We help students discover meaningful volunteering opportunities that connect them to their communities and build valuable skills.
Competitions: We support students in participating in academic competitions that align with their goals, strengthening their applications and academic profiles.

Mentorship Programs
Research Mentorship: Students are paired with professors or PhD students to engage in real research aligned with their academic interests and passions.
Student Fellowship: Through fellowship programs, students work with peers who can mentor them, collaborate on projects, and provide support throughout their academic journey.

College Counseling
Personalized Academic Advising: Students receive individualized guidance from academic advisors, who help them plan their high school careers, navigate the college application process, and understand their options.
We envision a college pathway that supports every aspect of a student’s journey, from financial aid to mentorship, college counseling, and beyond.
How do we reimagine student research?
At FRI, we are developing our own research program to offer students the opportunity to design and publish their own research projects. We seek passionate students to join this initiative as research assistants. Interested students can apply through the form below. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
